Being small and versatile, Far West plays a key role in Amsterdam Nieuw West. Far West operates as the principal in development projects, and works together with its founders for the maintenance of property. Its small and dedicated staff of about 25, works as a interdisciplinary team on the revitalisation of Nieuw West and is capable of gaining commitment from other parties and stakeholders. Besides this, Far West chairs the consultative body of associations active in the area.

Far West is a temporary organisation, housing in the heart of our redevelopment districts, and purpose-formed for a period of fifteen years. When the job is done, Far West will be dissolved and its renewed real estate portfolio will be redistributed among the three participating housing associations.
